Y’all, I LOVE the blogging community so much! I was nominated for a Liebster Award! I have always been fascinated with blogs, hearing people’s stories and making a connection with a stranger that shares your voice. There are so many blogs that I have connected with over the years, in different stages and moments in my life.
For far too long, I believed that my own story was boring and not worth telling and sharing with the world. Looking back, I should have started blogging so many years ago, I have had a seriously fun life!
In May of this year, I took the leap and put myself out there, overcame the fear and began to write and create and have these ideas I have never had before! I LOVE IT! I love the process of coming up with posts, the people in online communities, their honesty, and excitement.
Which makes me SO EXCITED to have been nominated for this Liebster Award by Pam at the Joyful Source. She has an amazing blog, and don’t forget to subscribe to receive her updates!
So, here it is:
The Liebster Award is a way for bloggers to recognize and connect with one another, sharing and expanding knowledge of new blogs! Liebster in German means sweetest, kindest, lovely, pleasant, valued, cute, endearing, among many other things. So Pam thought my blog was lovely and that totally makes my heart sing! I am just beside myself with happiness over this.
As a part of my nomination, there are some questions that I’m supposed to answer and here are my answers:
1.Where are you from?
I was born and raised in Shawnee, Kansas and still consider myself a Kansas girl! I am currently living in central Florida and enjoying the vast amount of sunshine!
2.What’s your favorite meal?
All of it. There is no one answer to this. Currently, I am really into fresh things made of simple ingredients. I’ll never turn down a meal though.
- What do you hope to get from your blog?
I have this ultimate dream of owning a space out in the country that has gardens, orchards, and animals. Teaching my children to live sustainably and living a less hectic and simpler life. My blog is my way of connecting to that ideal during a time where that dream will not serve my family.
- Money or Fame?
I have to say money, it is one of the main barriers I have not moved out of the suburbs and created the home I dream of.
- What is one thing you regret?
Spending so much of my youth being fearful and quiet. To think of all the things I could have accomplished if I would have let go of the fear of failure, rejection, judgement…heck, I may have been famous. LOL!
So now, I get to share five of my favorite new blogs:
There are so many great new blogs out there, please take a moment to check each of these out, they are all so beautiful and inventive!
To the folks I nominated, spread the love, reach out to your fellow bloggers and let’s discover some new ideas!
